French to English and English to French Translation Tariffs (minimum fees apply).
| FREE
QUOTATIONS for large translation projects (generally 20,000
words and
over and in Word format only)
For French to English and English to French general translation through Word, our fees are based on €200.00 ATE per 1,000 words (€0.20 per source word). Rates can vary according to dates and deadlines. We are only too pleased to provide free quotations, however, in general translators work and charge on the basis of a word count, the technicality of the documents concerned and the urgency of the work. Certain requirements, such as short deadlines, special page set up or formatting, may be quoted at higher rates. For all orders outside France, bank transfer fees force us to apply minimum order rates. This equally applies to Euro transactions from other EU countries. |
How
to contact us:
By Email : ABC Langues & Conseils Please note: For security reasons we use professional online antispam/antivirus services which will not accept blank E-mails, "Hotmail" etc., style address E-mails, or those just containing the request in the subject field. E-mails containing the company and contact name, address and telephone and fax numbers in the message body are given priority. Web site translation: With the proliferation of Server Side, Flash and Active Content (and its regrettable possibilities of transferring virus, trojan, worm codes even to well protected PCs) we no longer download web sites for translation. We now need the actual pages requiring translation preferably in Word or text format. |
Send us your documents, with an indication of your deadline and number of words so that we can evaluate the translation and let you have our free quotation as soon as possible.
Translations will be started on receipt of your order by fax or post, subject to payment terms.
**We use the International Standard to calculate the number of words in a document, this is the Word counter built into Microsoft's Word software. If you have this software, you can easily check the number of words yourself. (Just open the document in Word, click on file, then properties and click the document properties tab.) The choice of the Word count as a basis for charging ensures that you as the client have a reference point as it is difficult, although not impossible, to quantify the time spent on translation in any other way. A translator who is conscientious and takes a pride in their work, will produce between 2,000 and 2,500 words per day. This includes rewriting and proof reading to ensure maximum accuracy. It also includes referencing both in terms of technical and more general translation as language and terminology change almost daily.
Should you require clarification on any of the above or have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
